SKI FUN AT THE DIEDAMSKOPF, MELLAU-DAMÜLS AND ARLBERG/WARTH/SCHRÖCKEN
In Au you are in the middle of the great skiing areas of the Bregenzerwald in winter. No less than 557 kilometers of slopes are waiting here – perfectly groomed – to be discovered by skiers and snowboarders – in addition to more than 40 km of winter hiking trails, 63 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, freeride spots and racy toboggan slopes.

Skiing area Damüls/Mellau
It is only 11 km to the neighboring village of Damüls. You can also get there comfortably by bus or your car. The snowy and varied skiing area has 109 kilometers of slopes and is connected with Mellau. Sunny south-facing slopes, spectacular black runs and 21km of ski routes will inspire you. The crew from Burton Snowpark take care of the hotspot of the freestyle and snowboard scene. There are various rails, tables, boxes and a casual chill-out area.
Diedamskopf
Diedamskopf is 2,090 m high and has the longest valley run in the Bregenzerwald. The family-friendly ski area is only 2 km from Ski Hotel Adler Au, popular with skiers and hikers and conveniently the ski bus stops there, right by our entrance. All “Simma” children learned to ski here and even now we love the area with its spectacular views and natural snow slopes. You can expect 40 km of perfectly groomed ski slopes, a fun park for snowboarders and freeskiers and a view of 300 mountain peaks. On good days you can even see the Ulm Cathedral.
Family skiing area
Practice early if you want to become a “Hermann Maier”. The ski instructors of the ski school Au-Schoppernau take care of your children with heart and soul. In “Didiland” at the bottom station there are three conveyor belts, a carousel, boat swings, an igloo and lots of skiing fun. There is also a lot on offer for children at the top station: a 300m² indoor playground with fun play stations and childcare from 10.00 am to 3.30 pm.

Warth-Schröcken
Finally the time has come. The ski areas of Warth-Schröcken, Lech-Zürs and Alpe Rauz-St. Anton have been merged to form the largest ski area in Austria. And you are very close to it. It is only 20km to the Salober. There you strap on your skis and off you go to the entire Ski-Arlberg area. 305 kilometers of ski slopes, 200km of deep snow runs, 87 lifts and cable cars make the Ski Arlberg region a spectacular experience.
